John Clark began his Aikido Training at New York Aikikai as a student of Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan. In 1989 he moved to California and became a student of Frank Doran Shihan.
During the nineties, he spent a year practicing Zen meditation at Mt. Baldy Zen Center as a student of Roshi Joshu Sasaki. He also spent two years living in Boulder, Colorado, studying Aikido with Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan.
John received the rank of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in 2014.
In addition to his Aikido practice, John enjoys traditional Japanese woodworking and wood block printing.
