Children’s Program
The Aikido West Children's program is run by
Cyndy Hayashi, 7th Dan, Alex Vanderburgh, 6th Dan and
Felicia Lim, 2nd Dan.
Classes are structured around the development of balance, coordination, and awareness of self.
Students age 7 - 10: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5 pm.
Children in this age range have rapidly changing bodies. We endeavor to help them learn about their strengths both physically and mentally. Exercises and games will teach them team effort, conflict resolution, and appropriate use of power through Aikido techniques.
Older children: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 - 6 pm.
This program offers the same as mentioned above but at a more advanced skill level. This age group has access to the Wednesday night adult basics class with instructor recommendation and parental approval.
All Ages Saturday Morning Class (Children 7 - 13) from 9 - 9:50 am
Special Saturday morning class open to both younger and older children ages 7 - 13. Classes are led by Felicia Lim, 2nd dan and focus on Aikido fundamentals and basic techniques.
Parents, please fill out an online waiver before your child arrives for class.
